This week, with the extreme heat conditions that we have been experiencing , outdoor play time has been very limited and Play Day had to be “adjusted” for the indoors.
Two jumpy castles as well as space for “Just Dance” were set up in the gym.
Our cafeteria was transformed into a Gaga Ball arena and freezie station.
On the second floor, a “Chill Room” was set up for students who prefer quiet activities such as colouring, doing Mad Libs, etc.
Outdoor yard games such as giant Connect Four, ring toss, football toss, corn hole toss, giant checkers, giant Jenga, etc. were set up in various classrooms.
As you can see from the photos, the students had a fun Play Day morning, despite being inside. In the afternoon, students had a choice to either watch a movie – “Inside Out” or enjoy quiet activities in the Chill Room to wind down the last day of the 2023-2024 school year.
