On Tuesday, January 21, the Grade 4 classes took a field trip to Little Canada with Mrs. Iun and Ms. Romeo. Little Canada is a unique attraction that “tells the stories of Canada through the art of miniature.” We have been studying the physical and political regions of Canada in Social Studies. Students had a wonderful time browsing and exploring different rooms that showcased different landscapes and cities they learned about in class. The landscapes were decorated with beautifully designed attractions, buildings, lights, with little people and animals.
We also visited the Mission Control Station where they showed us how they animated different people and transportation vehicles. At the Makers’ Window, the students learned how the makers hand-crafted and created all the little scenes in Little Canada. When we looked closely, we could find all sorts of interesting characters, stories and moments within the different landscapes! What a memorable and wonderful way to experience Canada!
