In recent years, St. Patrick’s Day has taken place during the elementary division’s March Break. This year, it falls on the first day back so we decided to make it a fun day. When everyone arrived at school, they discovered it had been decorated with shamrocks. Strands of the green clover could be seen hanging from the ceilings, on the walls and even in the cafeteria. Students and teachers were encouraged to wear green casual clothes and any green festive accessories.

Each homeroom teacher was also entrusted with a “gold coin” that they could hide. The lucky students that found them could go to the office to claim their “pot of gold” prize.

To add to the excitement, bright green jello was added to today’s lunch menu to make it an extra festive day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!
