The ELC held their Easter chapel service this morning in the cafeteria. The JK2 class led the pledges and musical worship. Representatives from the class were energetic in leading the singing of “Hosanna!”, “God’s Not Dead”, and “Oh, Hallelujah”.

Mrs. Griffith was the speaker today and she told the Easter story, starting with Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, until Jesu’s resurrection and Great Commission. Mrs. Griffith used cute graphics and simple but appropriate language to ensure that the young students understood all the elements of the Easter message, including the importance of Jesus’s love for them. At the end, she even had a review quiz and rewarded the students with stickers!

To wrap up, she shared John 3:16 with the children. Many of them already knew the verse and repeated it with her. The JK2 worship leaders also led the singing of “For God so Loved the World” with all the actions.

Mrs. Griffith closed in prayer. She thanked Jesus for dying for us, gave praise that He is alive, and asked Him to help us remember His love which we need to share with others.
