Awards & Recognition
- Bible Character Trait Awards – These awards are given to select students to recognize them for various traits as exemplified by various characters in the Bible, including:
- The David Award for Leadership
- The Nehemiah Award for Perseverance
- The Ruth Award for Loyalty
- The Paul Award for Stewardship
- The Barnabas Award for Encouragement
- The Daniel Award for Integrity
- The Jonathan Award for Friendship
- ACE (Attitude, Cooperation and Excellence) Award – This award is given to the student who has shown consistency in attitude towards work and school, a cooperative spirit and excellence in effort. One ACE award is given per class in each grade.
- General Proficiency Award – This award is given to the student with the highest academic average in each grade.
- Gauss Mathematics Awards – These awards are given to our top performers in Grades 7 & 8 in the annual University of Waterloo’s Gauss Mathematics Contests.
- Athlete of the Year – This award is given to one male and one female athlete to recognize their athleticism, participation in multiple school teams, his/her sportsmanship, team spirit and support for others as deemed by the athletics department.
- Musician of the Year – This award is given to one male and one female student to recognize his/her musical contributions to the life at Wesley. It could be through performing with the Worship Team, playing the music at the annual Christmas concert/ play production, accompanying the choir, or any other musical endeavour.
- Principal’s Award – This award is given to students who have made a significant difference in the community life at Wesley as deemed by the principal.
