Today’s ELC Chapel – March 21, 2025

Our ELC chapel was led by the Toddler 1 class this morning. After the pledges, O Canada and The Lord’s Prayer, the Toddler 1 class led the singing of three songs: “Sing High, Sing Low”, “Hosanna” and “Who is the King of the Jungle?”. The Toddlers were most enthusiastic during the singing of “Hosanna”, in which instruments were used!

After the singing, Mrs. Chan shared the message. She opened by saying that she loves to sing. When she is happy, she likes to sing “This is the Day”. She then led the students to sing it a cappella. Next, she shared that when she feels sad or helpless, she sings “He’s Able”. She gathered the Toddlers and they sang all four verses of it with all the actions!

After the song, Mrs. Chan reviewed the four things that Jesus did in the song – healed the broken hearted, set the captive free, made the lame to walk, caused the blind to see. She asked the audience how Jesus could do this, especially since mommy, daddy and teachers certainly cannot do those things! No one answered so she explained that Jesus could do miracles like this because He is the Son of God! Then, she shared John 3:16 before launching into a video about one of Jesus’s miracles – healing the paralyzed man.

After the video, Mrs. Chan had everyone sing “He’s Able” with all the actions. Mrs. Taylor concluded the service with a closing prayer.
