Happenings at WCA

The optimal way to get to know more about the Wesley experience and its vibrant learning community is to come for a visit. We invite you and your family to come and experience Wesley.

Today’s ELC Chapel – November 8, 2024

Our JK1 class led this morning’s service in the cafeteria. Several students started with leading the pledges, The Lord’s Prayer and O Canada. Mrs. Dover then led the students in singing three action songs – “We Are Royalty”, “Light of the World” and “Everybody, Everywhere”.

Next, Mrs. Faris held up a beautifully coloured paper poppy, shared a few words about what it represents, and explained why we wear one. This was reinforced with a video of the reading of a story called A Poppy is to Remember by Heather Patterson.

After the story, Mrs. Faris recapped why we wear poppies and informed the students that on Monday, November 11th, we will all be wearing poppies and standing for a moment of silence at 11:00 AM.

To conclude, Mrs. Dover closed in prayer, thanking God for allowing us to live and grow up in a peaceful and safe country.
