Today’s ELC Chapel Service

This morning, representatives from our SK1 class led the pledges, The Lord’s Prayer and O Canada for our ELC chapel service. Mrs. Yu led the singing of two energetic songs – “Thankful” and “Praise”.

The message was about God’s promise to Abraham and it was delivered by “Abraham” himself! “Abraham” shared how God kept his promise to give him a son, even into his old age. He shared about God’s faithfulness and how He always keeps His promises. However, we must trust Him. Mrs. Yu then shared that God also gave us a rescuer through Abraham’s descendants whose name was Jesus. Jesus was God’s son who came to save the world. Mrs. Yu also showed a video entitled “God’s Story – God’s Promise to Abraham” to reinforce her points.

Afterwards, Mrs. Yu concluded in prayer, thanking God for always keeping His promises and asking Him to help us trust Him more.

Before the chapel service ended, representatives from the SK1 class went to the front to announce November’s Care & Share event for for SAMARITAN’S PURSE – OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD. Students will be given a shoebox to fill with toys, school supplies, hygiene products and other items to give a child in need some Christmas joy and a chance to hear the Good News. Filled shoeboxes are due at school by the week of November 11th.
