The SK2 class led this morning’s ELC chapel service. Representatives led the pledges and we sang four songs – “Hosanna”, “I Love You Lord”, “Pray About Everything” and “Give All Your Worries to God”.

Mrs. Wu was the speaker today and she began by asking the students what the common thread was in all the songs that they had just sung. Some said, ” Jesus”, while others said, “Praying”. Indeed, that was the theme of her message. Mrs. Wu used questions like – “Who do you love?”, “How often do you talk to your family?”, “When you talk to Jesus, what do you tell him?” -to craft her message about the importance of talking to the ones you love to build a relationship with them and get to know them better. Not only was she referring to our relationship with friends and family but to Jesus. She then showed a short video called “What is Prayer?” The video explained that praying is more than just asking God for things. It is a way to get close to God, and He is never too busy for us. It also makes God happy when we talk to Him, rely on Him and trust Him.

To conclude, Mrs. Wu asked her SK2 chapel leaders to return to the front of the room. The six students each said individual prayers – praying for our country, the administration staff at Wesley, teachers, family, friends as well as our custodian and food services team. Mrs. Wu also led a prayer to end the service.
