Today’s ELC Chapel Service – February 21, 2025

In Today’s ELC chapel service, the PK1 class led the pledges and worship. Students sang two very familiar songs – “Jesus Loves the Little Children” and “He’s Got the Whole World In His Hands”. Then, Ms. Donkor shared the song “Hakuna Wakita Se Jesu” which translates to “There’s No one in This World Like Jesus”.

After the worship, Ms. Donkor shared a message about recognizing the special qualities and cultural background of each of us and how we are all part of the body of Christ, each with a special function and integral part of God’s design. As such, we must show love and respect for each other’s culture, language, differences and special gifts. She used the example of a box of crayons, each representing a beautiful colour and an important part of forming God’s rainbow. Ms. Donkor also invited many students to come to the front, some dressed in cultural clothing that was also worn during this week’s Cultural Day. She also asked the students how we can help people feel accepted? Students gave answers like “be kind”, “show love in everything we do” and “include others”.

To conclude, we sang “One Love” using the video from Aaron Nigel Smith and the One World Chorus, and Ms. Donkor led us in prayer, thanking God for making each of us unique and special, for creating different cultures and people to make the world a beautiful place to live, and for help to be kind to one another.
